Solution Architect

Job Description

The Solution Architect position requires hands-on work on public cloud platforms leveraging PaaS services and marketplace services. This role plays a key part in configuration, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of platform components including networking, VMs, API management services, Application Gateways, Load Balancers, Kubernetes clusters, etc.

The Solution Engineer writes code bridging application and infrastructure using tools like Terraform, tests system performance, develops diagnostics tests to verify correct design, and automates testing.

This individual collaborates with DevOps Engineers and Application Engineers, mentors, and trains team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Cloud Services Engineer utilizes software managing networks, systems, and applications to ensure performance in cloud environments and automate provisioning resources.
  • Builds, manages, and integrates software automating public cloud environments.
  • Develops scalable solutions for large capacities in 24/7 environments.
  • Provides hands-on development and support to implement solutions and troubleshoot platform-related incidents.
  • Collaborates with Information Security teams to monitor capabilities.
  • Drives delivery of scalable and secure network resources.
  • Participates in design and architecture discussions and meetings.
  • Works with Architecture, Security, Infrastructure Services, and Application Development teams.
  • Maintains knowledge of Public and Private Cloud topics.
  • Provides training, assistance, and guidance as needed.
Required Skills and Experience

6+ years experience in Enterprise IT Environments with at least 4 years solid hands-on experience on one or more of the following: Azure.

Strong Kubernetes knowledge and hands-on working experience.

Strong IAC Code Experience (Terraform or Pulumi).

Strong Experience in Python or Golang.

Hands-on experience implementing Cloud marketplace services and technologies.

Knowledge of networking and internet protocols.

Technical Expertise with Microsoft Azure including foundational services.

Deployment and administration of Cloud monitoring services.

Broad experience in developing cloud migration and automation solutions in Azure.

Experience working with GITLAB or similar tools.

Knowledge and familiarity with adjacent technology areas.

Excellent written and verbal skills.

Passion for contributing to an organization improving consumer experiences.
