ARFF Operations Manager Job Description

The ARFF Operations Manager will oversee Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services at airports in Mangalore, Karnataka & Guwahati, Assam. The ideal candidate should have 7-15 years of experience in the airports industry with a strong understanding of fire safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and leadership skills.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a high-performing team responsible for ensuring round-the-clock readiness for emergency response at airports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Crash Fire Tender (CFT) team to ensure seamless emergency response operations.
  • Operational Planning: Develop, implement, and review ARFF operational procedures and protocols in compliance with local and international aviation safety standards.
  • Training and Development: Conduct regular training and drills for the CFT team to maintain peak performance and readiness.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with airport authorities, airlines, and emergency services for seamless emergency response and mutual aid.
  • Maintenance and Readiness: Oversee the maintenance and readiness of ARFF vehicles, equipment, and firefighting systems.
  • Incident Reporting: Prepare and analyze incident reports identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to ARFF services.
  • Emergency Exercises: Participate in airport emergency exercises and provide expert guidance and leadership during simulated emergencies.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold the highest standards of fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: Advanced certifications in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), valid ARFF certification from a recognized aviation authority, and valid certification in Fire Safety and Prevention.
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in the airports industry, demonstrated experience in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services, and proven track record of leadership and team management.
