Tendering Specialist Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, preparing, and submitting tenders for infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Identification & Evaluation: Track government and private e-procurement portals daily for relevant tenders, evaluate eligibility criteria, scope of work, and risks before participating.
  • Tender Preparation & Submission: Coordinate with estimation, design, finance, and legal teams for inputs, compile technical & financial bids as per client requirements, ensure timely submission of bids (online/offline) with complete documentation.
  • Cost Estimation & Pricing: Work with the estimation team to prepare competitive pricing, analyze BOQ, material, manpower, and subcontracting requirements, recommend pricing strategies based on competitor analysis.
  • Liaison & Coordination: Coordinate with government bodies, consultants, and clients for clarifications, attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client interactions, follow-up on tender results and maintain relationships with authorities.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain updated vendor registrations, certificates, and statutory compliances, ensure adherence to legal, tax, and technical documentation in tenders, maintain tender MIS reports, success ratios, and competitor insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Business Administration, 5–8 years' experience in tendering/contracts in infrastructure/construction sector, strong knowledge of EPC, PPP, BOT tendering models, proficiency in government e-procurement portals.

Key Skills:

Strong analytical and negotiation skills, excellent written & verbal communication, ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines, networking with government officials and industry stakeholders, detail-oriented with strong compliance mindset.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Tender Success Ratio (% bids won vs. submitted), timely submission of bids without compliance errors, accuracy of cost estimates and profitability of secured projects, quality of market intelligence and competitor analysis reports.
