Shopify Front End Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced front-end developer to build and maintain our Shopify e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate has expertise in DOM manipulation, asynchronous JavaScript, complex CSS, and the Liquid framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and customizing Shopify themes using advanced CSS selectors, DOM manipulation, asynchronous JavaScript, and the Liquid framework.
  • Ensuring technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimizing them for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Collaborating with the development team to ensure timely project completion.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies and applying them to development.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Shopify including Liquid syntax, Shopify Objects, meta fields, and the Shopify admin panel.
  • Experience working with JavaScript and related libraries such as jQuery and Vue.js.
  • Knowledge of DOM manipulation and advanced CSS selectors.
  • Familiarity with responsive design and media queries.
  • Liquid framework expertise.
  • Asynchronous JavaScript knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
