Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled test automation engineer to join our team. As a test automation engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute automated tests, ensuring that they are aligned with acceptance criteria and user stories. You will also identify and maintain reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing, as well as contribute to the automation regression suite and maintain automation assets.

In addition, you will collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently, follow automation best practices, and participate in peer reviews. You will also prepare and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and support manual testing efforts when required, including test planning, execution, and reporting.

Furthermore, you will track and report QA metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and productivity. To be successful in this role, you must have strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as knowledge of CI/CD and API & API testing tools like Karate, Postman or RestAssured.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing
  • Align test scripts with acceptance criteria and user stories
  • Execute automated tests, log defects with detailed reproduction steps, and support defect triage
  • Create and manage test data and environment configurations for automation
  • Identify and maintain reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing
  • Contribute to the automation regression suite and maintain automation assets
  • Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently
  • Follow automation best practices and participate in peer reviews
  • Prepare and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
  • Support manual testing efforts when required
  • Track and report QA metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and productivity
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in Guidewire functional and automation testing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Guidewire policy center projects
  • Hands-on experience with type-script automation tools such as Playwright, Taiko or JavaScript based frameworks such as Cypress/ Selenium
  • Hands on experience in Programming based Test Automation toolset and should be part of Test Design for minimum of 2 Years
  • Hands on Experience in working with Git Repository
  • Independently handle Test Code issue resolution, updates & Debugging
  • Exposure to QA lifecycle tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or equivalent
  • Understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards
  • Experience in test effort estimation and metrics reporting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge on CI / CD
  • Knowledge of API & API testing tools like Karate, Postman or RestAssured
