Librarian Professional

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to manage the library's collection, ensuring that it is up-to-date, diverse, and easily accessible to patrons. This role involves acquiring new materials, cataloging and maintaining existing ones, and removing outdated or damaged items from the collection.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong problem-solving abilities. A passion for literature, education, and community service is highly desirable.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Acquiring new books, journals, and other materials to meet the needs of our diverse community
• Cataloging and maintaining the accuracy of our collection database
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the management of our collection
• Assisting patrons with research and reference questions related to the collection

A successful Library Collections Manager will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service, working collaboratively with staff and community members, and continuously improving library services and programs.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
