Job Summary:

The Senior Vendor Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful deployment and operation of microwave radio networks across various regions in India. This position requires a dynamic and skilled professional with expertise in vendor management, project management, and telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential vendors for the Installation & Commissioning of microwave radio equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with selected vendors, fostering effective communication and partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to the Vendor Engagement in different projects across India, including progress reports, technical documentation, and vendor agreements.
  • Vendor Account Reconciliations including Vendor Invoicing & Payments
  • Generate insights and reports on vendor performance, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in vendor management, project management and/or telecommunications.
  • Strong understanding of microwave radio technology, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in communication and negotiation, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing vendor relationships and driving project success.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices throughout the installation and commissioning process.
  • Conduct quality checks, audits, and inspections to verify equipment performance and compliance with specifications.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to vendor teams during the installation and commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to achieve swift resolutions.

Project Management:

  • Oversee and assist the project management teams of different telecom circles in India on end-to-end installation and commissioning process of microwave radio equipment.
  • Support in developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Support in monitoring project milestones, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
