Job Title: Textile Designer

Nestasia is seeking a talented and detail-oriented textile professional to join our in-house design team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in print design with prior experience in an export house, specifically in the bedsheet category.

This role involves developing creative and trend-forward print designs for bedsheets and other home furnishing categories (e.g., curtains, cushions, table linens). The successful candidate will be able to translate global and domestic trends into commercial designs suited for the retail market.

About the Job:

The job entails collaborating closely with merchandising and sourcing teams to align design output with product planning and timelines. Additionally, the candidate will need to work closely with production and vendors to ensure quality and accuracy in sampling and final output.

Key tasks include conducting market research and competitor analysis to drive innovation in design. This may involve preparing mood boards, color palettes, CADs, and print repeats for presentations and approvals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative print designs for bedsheets and other home furnishing categories.
  • Translate global and domestic trends into commercial designs suitable for the retail market.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align design output with product planning and timelines.
  • Work with external partners to ensure quality and accuracy in sampling and final output.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
Requirements:
  • 1.5 – 2 years of experience in textile or print design, preferably in an export house.
  • Strong expertise in bedsheet design and familiarity with both soft and hard furnishings.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software.
  • Excellent design sensibility with an eye for detail, color, and composition.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Degree in Textile/Fashion Design from a reputable institution (preferred).
