About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned OpenShift engineer to join our team. As an experienced administrator, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining containerized OpenShift platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Deployment: Develop and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure internal Kubernetes platform that supports the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Automation and Documentation: Create and maintain automation scripts, tools, and documentation to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Platform Stability and Performance: Ensure platform stability and performance by proactively monitoring system metrics, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing resources.
  • Observability Solutions: Implement observability solutions, such as monitoring, logging, and tracing tools, to gain valuable insights into platform performance and application behavior.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, helping them adopt the Kubernetes platform and improve their application deployment and management capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in OpenShift engineering, including some public cloud experience.
  • Platform Engineering Experience: Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE, or a similar role.
  • Kubernetes Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts, and components, with hands-on experience in building and managing Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
  • End-to-End Implementation: End-to-end implementation of the Kubernetes architecture - installation, configuration, hardening, networking, etc.
  • Programming Language Proficiency: Proficiency in a procedural or scripting programming language (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Experience: Experienced with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery principles (e.g., GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
  • Containerized Applications Experience: Experience designing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes.
  • Automation Tools Experience: Experience with automation tools, such as Helm, Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps.
  • Security and Compliance Best Practices: Understanding of security and compliance best practices.
  • Observability Best Practices: Familiarity with observability best practices and tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
