Job Description

About the Role:

The Chief Investment Officer will be responsible for leading VCMint's investing efforts, owning the funnel from sourcing to execution and portfolio support.

  • Sourcing & Thesis:
    • Build a quality pipeline of seed/early and later-stage deals.
    • Develop thematic theses and leverage networks to find opportunities.
    • Represent VCMint at ecosystem events and host founder circles.
  • Evaluation & IC Prep:
    • Run fast screens and deep dives on potential investments.
    • Build financial models and draft investment memos.
    • Prepare materials for an efficient Investment Committee cadence.
  • Diligence Leadership (LDD/FDD/Tech/Commercial):
    • Define diligence scope and select external partners.
    • Coordinate data-room requests and synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations.
  • Transaction Execution:
    • Support term sheet design and coordinate with counsel on definitive docs.
    • Maintain accurate closing files and hand off smoothly to finance/ops.
  • Portfolio Support & Follow-ons:
    • Onboard companies into VCMint's advisor network and drive targeted help.
    • Track portfolio health and prepare follow-on cases.
  • Finance, Reporting & Ops:
    • Partner with finance on allocations, wires, compliance, and record-keeping.
    • Keep pipeline CRM tidy and report on funnel metrics and cadence SLAs.
