**Job Summary**
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to lead projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems for our road-rail vehicles, as well as performing advanced load/stress and dynamic analyses to guarantee safety and performance standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for road-rail vehicles.
- Lead projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet design specifications.
- Perform advanced load/stress and dynamic analyses to ensure designs meet safety and performance standards.
- Innovate and implement design improvements for better efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design drawings and specifications.
- Assist the Lead Design Engineer in overseeing the design team's operations.
- Contribute to the development of design strategies and ensure their implementation.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure designs meet cross-functional requirements.
- Oversee the progress of projects from concept to production, ensuring they adhere to timelines and budgets.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and standards.
- Conduct complex design and analysis tasks to ensure vehicle performance meets standards.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Significant 4+ years of experience in heavy machinery industry preferably EOT, Road vehicle, Automobiles.
- Proficient in mechanisms, drive systems, powertrains, vehicle design, load/stress analysis, and dynamic analysis and other design calculations.
- Proficient in CAD software and analysis tools for load/stress and dynamic analysis.
- Extensive experience in mechanical design, preferably in road-rail vehicle manufacturing.
- Experience with design software such as Solidworks, Auto CAD and PDM
- Extensive knowledge in Machining, GD&T, Hydraulic & Pneumatics, and proper documentation in standards.
- Must have good knowledge in workshop and field trial.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
