Job Title: Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to manage cloud infrastructure, develop automation scripts, and monitor resource utilization.


About the Role:
  • Act as the go-to expert for monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
  • Closely track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, highlighting anomalies in cloud expenditure.
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements within cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources for optimized performance.
  • Identify and implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to minimize cloud spend.
  • Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, GCP Billing, and third-party monitoring platforms for enhanced visibility.

Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Expertise in cloud cost monitoring & optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation within cloud environments.
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads on cloud platforms.
