Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering and configuration management. He or she will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting network systems, ensuring optimal performance and high availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Design: Develop and implement network designs that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Configuration Management: Configure and manage network devices including Cisco routers, switches, F5 load balancers, and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Issue Resolution: Respond promptly to network-related incidents, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime and service disruption.
  • Security Enforcement: Implement and maintain network security policies to safeguard against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to support overall infrastructure and ensure seamless operations.
  • Upgrades & Updates: Plan and execute network upgrades, firmware updates, and patches to ensure systems are secure, stable, and up to date.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and generate performance reports.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure network operations comply with organizational policies and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Skills:
    • Cloud Networking: Experience with cloud networking solutions and SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI.
    • Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and implementing security policies.
    • Load Balancing: Proficiency in managing F5 Load Balancers for high availability and traffic distribution.
    • Network Automation: Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting using Python.
    • Routing & Switching: Strong understanding of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
    • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Wireshark for network monitoring and diagnostics.
    • Protocols & Standards: Solid grasp of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
    • Security Best Practices: Understanding of network security principles, threat mitigation, and compliance standards.
    • Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex network issues.
