Job Description:

The Senior Data Science Professional will be responsible for performing data analytics and data analysis across different asset classes, building data science/tooling capabilities within the team. The candidate will work closely with the wider Enterprise Data team, particularly the front to back leads, to deliver business priorities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights, and make strategic recommendations
  • Develop data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis
  • Conduct, review, analyze, and build/engineer data capability tools and software components
  • Develop and articulate business requirements and map current and future state processes
  • Build operational models and analysis bespoke to each use case
  • Build data science capabilities using Python/analytical tools
  • Perform complex data analytics on large complex datasets
  • Build analytics dashboards using PowerBI/Tableau

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years' experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets
  • Experience in financial services or finance IT
  • Good knowledge of Python 3.x, ETL methodology, and one or more of Knime, Alteryx, Informatica, Abinitio, AWS Glue
  • Strong knowledge in one or more BI visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI
  • Very good knowledge of RDBMS (one or more of Oracle, MySQL)
  • Ability to write complex SQL needed to investigate data issues and analyze legacy data
  • Proven experience in working for complex data warehouses
  • Knowledge of automation tools like Power Automate, Selenium
  • Strong storyboarding and communication skills
