Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Validation Engineer to join our team.

As a Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for serving as the domain guide for validation on firmware architecture, product requirements, and associated industry and results.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Ownership: Drive both increased effectiveness and efficiencies across the product portfolio by reviewing and challenging current test plans, coverage, and testing activities.
  • Recommend and Instrument New Validation Approaches: Develop new validation approaches that drive better end-to-end coverage, more accurate testing, and expanded testing services.
  • Apply Technical Project and Delegation Experience: Lead product test cycles through active participation in technical project and delegation experience.
Requirements Analysis

As a Validation Engineer, you will need to study product requirements to verify testability and identify suitable testing equipment. You must also provide feedback and influence product design for the definition and implementation of new requirements/performances.

You will be responsible for planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.

  • Responsibilities Include:
  • Definition of Test Cases: Verify functional and non-functional requirements comply with system requirements.
  • Working with Product Design: Influence the CI/CD FW dev flow, gate-keep quality, and shift left bug discovery through coherent test cases development.
  • Identification of PASS/FAIL Criteria: Identify PASS/FAIL criteria for test cases based on number of cycles, statistical, and temperature.
  • Enable Shift-left Efforts: Move detection of failures from customer tests to internal-developed and maintained test frameworks.
Test Implementation

As a Validation Engineer, you will be required to define test implementation strategy and software architecture to encompass both development and debug. You must also define, plan, and implement a test automation strategy to supply ongoing development of in-house automation frameworks/tools.

Constantly evaluate, refine, and implement validation processes/methodologies to ensure maximum efficiency.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplying and Pre-formatting of Samples: Prepare samples for validation.
  • Execution of Product Validation Flow: Match programmed validation plan.
  • Monitoring of Test Time: Reduce test time.
  • Results Analysis: Analyze results and identify trends.
  • Report Generation: Generate clear reports including concise comments about findings.
  • Track Document Revision: Provide historical reference.
Defect Management

As a Validation Engineer, you will need to root-cause and drive failures coming from upstream/downstream validation teams, customers, and other partners to closure while articulating associated risk.

Implement systematic clear steps to reproduce failures while providing traceability to the bugs/gaps/escapes. Collaborate with partner teams to assess test results and generate deviation.
