Lead Power IC Design Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Leader to spearhead the development of power management integrated circuits (ICs). As a senior engineer in our Power Business Unit, you will be responsible for end-to-end IC design, from specifications to production.

  • Develop multiple power ICs with switching converters, starting from system level specifications and taking ICs to production.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges and risks. Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Design complete switching converters and involved IPs, including noise mitigation and power dissipation.
  • Lead and guide development, integration of complex IPs like charge pumps, low dropout regulators (LDOs), oscillators, current sense, successive approximation register analog-to-digital converters (SAR ADCs), housekeeping blocks, protection, bandgap references, analog buffers, operational amplifiers (op-amps), comparators, and high-speed level shifters.
  • Architect the IC, break down system/chip-top level requirements into block level specifications, and work with team members to develop blocks, integrate them into top level, and ensure desired performance.
  • Bring innovative ideas to improve designs to meet challenging specifications and achieve better system performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers for upscaling their technical skills as well as other skills needed for better efficacy.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years in Analog Circuit Design.
  • Solid understanding and design experience of complex analog designs with full ownership.
  • Chip design, verification, silicon validation, debugs, qualification support, and taking ICs to production.
  • Technical leadership, mentoring, and fostering a highly creative and productive working environment.
