Cyber Security Engineer Position Overview

The company is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management professional to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive process optimization and automation. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating web application vulnerabilities.

  • Our team focuses on metrics-driven decision making and expects you to report, quantify stats, trends, and metrics to measure risk and results.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Remediate web application vulnerabilities and ensure the security of our web applications.
  2. Onboard new web applications into our vulnerability management platform, ensuring seamless integration and efficient scanning.
  3. Maintain and mature our Vulnerability Management tools and infrastructures daily, optimizing their effectiveness.
  4. Scan web applications and servers regularly, understanding the results to remediate any findings and reduce risk.
  5. Work collaboratively with developer and application owners to remediate vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture.
  6. Record vulnerability exceptions and escalate priority vulnerabilities that require timely attention.
  7. Support periodic penetration testing efforts to strengthen our security defenses.
  8. Conduct meetings and security reviews with business personnel to articulate vulnerabilities and their risk to the organization.
  9. Provide regular metrics on the success of reducing risk through our Vulnerability Management Program.
