Key Responsibilities:

  • 2D Asset Creation: Design and create characters, environments, props, icons, VFX that align with the game's art direction.
  • 3D Asset Optimization: Model, texture, and render 3D assets optimized for Unity/Unreal Engine to ensure seamless integration.
  • Art Consistency: Ensure art consistency and scalability across devices, maintaining the game's overall look and feel.

UI/UX Design:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Game Designer to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that enhance the user experience.
  • UI Element Creation: Produce intuitive UI elements such as menus, HUDs, buttons, popups, inventories, etc. that meet the game's design standards.
  • Iteration and Feedback: Conduct iterations based on feedback and testing to ensure the UI meets player expectations.

Technical Requirements:

  • Asset Preparation: Export and prepare assets for seamless integration into the engine.
  • Style Guide Maintenance: Maintain style guides and ensure asset optimization for efficient performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating both 2D and 3D art skills is essential for this role.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Blender, Maya (or equivalents) is necessary for success in this position.
  • Game UI/UX Understanding: A solid understanding of game UI/UX principles (mobile, PC, or console) is required to ensure a cohesive gaming experience.
  • Asset Optimization: Experience preparing optimized assets for Unity or Unreal Engine is highly valued.
