Key Data Engineer Role

    We seek an accomplished Data Engineer to spearhead the design, implementation, and optimization of our data pipelines. This position demands expertise in big data technologies, data architecture, and software development methodologies.

    Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable, high-quality data architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy robust data pipelines.
  • Develop, test, and maintain large-scale ETL processes using Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Implement data governance policies to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
  • Leverage cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) to scale data workloads and improve performance.
  • Develop automation scripts for deployment, testing, and monitoring of data pipelines.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with expertise in Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Proficiency in big data tools such as Kafka, Flume, Kinesis, and data formats like Parquet, Avro, ORC.
  • Experience with Airflow/Prefect for scheduling and orchestration of data workflows.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning techniques in Spark (partitioning, caching, broadcast joins).
  • Hands-on experience with deploying data pipelines on Databricks, AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, or GCP Dataproc.
  • Exposure to testing and CI/CD practices for data pipelines (pytest, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
