Regulatory Specialist Role

Key to ensuring timely regulatory submissions, our Regulatory Specialist plays a vital role in compliance with relevant regulations. This includes submitting business proposals, schedules, and regulatory documents to the IRDAI portal, as well as tracking and aligning regulatory registers maintained by various business units.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely submission of regulatory documents post-concurrence with stakeholders from Operations, Customer Care, Business Products, Finance, and Insurers.
  • Track and align regulatory registers maintained by respective business units and BIU teams for submission to IRDAI.
  • Communicate regulatory changes and updates to regulators as required.
  • Update IIB Envoy Portal with salesperson and SP details for periodic tracking and review.
  • Manage IRDAI CA/ISNP/Envoy License Renewal process, coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining relevant repositories.
  • Issue NOCs for exited SPs and Detag PAN from IRDA & Envoy while maintaining records.
  • Apply for Telemarketer Licenses and submit regulatory data to IRDAI as stipulated.
  • Track and renew various licenses, including IRDAI CA, PO, ISNP, Envoy, and others.
  • Maintain Regulatory Checklists, ensuring timely submissions and data maintenance.
  • Coordinate with finance, product teams, and insurers for monthly reconciliation sign-offs, addressing gaps identified.
  • Maintain agreements, SLAs, and Commission structures for insurers.
  • Track grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and coordinate resolutions with business, product, and branch teams.
  • Audit initiation and tracking for branches, providing audit checklists and coordinating with functional audit teams.
  • Conduct Compliance checks on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and track cases with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bookkeep litigation cases, updating the regulator as needed, and perform other duties as delegated by management and supervisors.
