Hardware Design Engineer Role
  • This position involves spearheading the design of hardware systems and products, ensuring they meet industry standards for safety and functionality.
  • A minimum of 2-8 years of experience in hardware development and product design is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mixed-signal designs, high-speed communication links, and analog electronics.
  • They should be proficient in designing circuits that can interface with field sensors and transducers, as well as have expertise in industrial standard communications.
  • Familiarity with industry-wide tools for schematics and PCB design, such as Cadence and Allegro, is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, simulating, and verifying analog circuits, including operational amplifiers, data converters, voltage regulators, and filters.
  • Meeting industry standards and global compliance for EMI/EMC, functional safety, and incorporating design principles to meet IEC61000 standards, UL, and other safety and wireless compliance.
  • Performing detailed analysis needed for robust hardware designs, including thermal, SI, EMC modeling, derating, reliability, and xFMEAs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in full hardware development to production cycles.
  • Experience in reverse engineering analysis.
  • BOM optimization.
  • Hands-on experience in meeting industry standards and global compliance for EMI/EMC, functional safety, and incorporating design principles to meet IEC61000 standards, UL, and other safety and wireless compliance.
  • Capable of hands-on design as well as independently performing design reviews of schematics, PCB, functional testing, pre-compliance, and certifications.
  • Familiarity with industry-wide tools for schematics and PCB (e.g., Cadence, Allegro).
