Furniture Designer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Furniture Design Professional with expertise in creating detailed drawings for high-end, customised residential and office furniture. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of wood, metal, polish, and marble applications, and the ability to translate design concepts into precise, production-ready drawings for our factory team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shop Drawings: Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for customised furniture, including joinery, finishes, and installation details.
  • Design Development: Work closely with architects, interior designers, and clients to convert concepts into technical designs.
  • Material Application: Ensure designs incorporate appropriate use of wood, veneers, laminates, metals, polishes, and marble/stone finishes.
  • Factory Coordination: Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Detailing & Accuracy: Provide precise dimensions, hardware specifications, and material indications for factory production.
  • Problem Solving: Modify and refine drawings based on site conditions, production limitations, or client feedback.
  • Quality & Standards: Maintain high-quality detailing standards suitable for luxury furniture manufacturing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience designing and detailing luxury/customised furniture for factory production.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software.
  • Strong understanding of joinery techniques, finishes, and furniture ergonomics.
  • Knowledge of production processes for woodworking, metal fabrication, polishing, and marble applications.

Personal Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to balance creativity with technical feasibility.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
