Job Overview

Maintenance engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of automated equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining PAN India automation equipment, including Sorters and DWS systems of varying types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize uptime by minimizing downtime of equipment due to breakdowns.
  • Monitor and track breakdowns ticketing system with timely attendance and closure of tickets, along with proper RCA of issues and derivation of actionable items for prevention of future breakdowns.
  • Closely monitor adherence to scheduled maintenance of equipment on daily, weekly, and monthly basis with help of team of Sorter Operators and respective vendor teams.
  • Actively close open issues at site to ensure proper functioning of systems and improve reliability of equipment.
  • Identify scope of improvements in existing systems to enhance productivity, efficiency, safety, health, and reliability of equipment.
  • Monitor productivity and efficiency of equipment based on key parameters like rejections, breakdowns, dimensioning, and weighing accuracies etc.
  • Define work content, roles, and responsibilities of Sorter operations team giving due regard to maintenance of equipment, closing open issues, monitoring key performance parameters, and troubleshooting during breakdowns to reduce downtime.
  • Train Sorter operators and operations team regarding proper handling of systems and operations of automation equipment to maximize utilization and productivity and prevent breakdowns due to mishandling.
  • Regularly interact with site teams, Sorter operators, and vendor team to ensure seamless coordination and operations align with implementation of improvement and address trouble cases.
  • Track and maintain spare parts procured for equipment at site through regular auditing and consumption list of spares used up during breakdowns.
  • Track replenishment of faulty spares from vendors to ensure regular availability of spares at site.
