Job Description

Job Title: Embedded Firmware

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team at Teksun. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing firmware for our embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze domain-specific technical or low-level requirements and modify firmware as per end customer or system requirements.
  • Perform software testing, including unit, functional, and system-level requirements, using manual and automated testing methods.
  • Write firmware for specific system modules and integrate code, making push requests to the Git repository.
  • Perform code peer-review, following coding guidelines and static code analysis.
  • Troubleshoot software problems of limited difficulty.
  • Document technical deliverables, including software specifications, design documents, code commenting, test cases, and test reports.
  • Follow defined processes for software development life cycles.
  • Provide technical support to the team and contribute to their growth.
  • Generate reusable code that can be contributed to Teksun's code bank.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and skills.

Requirements:

  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++.
  • Working experience in bare metal, RTOS, and device driver development.
  • Linux board bring-up and kernel-level programming skills, device driver development.
  • End-to-end design and architecture-level experience in embedded and IoT-based products.
  • Knowledge of ARM-based processors and microcontrollers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent debugging skills and hands-on experience with coding.
  • Object-oriented fundamentals and design.
  • Reading schematics, datasheets, technical reference manuals, and Silicon revision sheets.
  • Using tools like Logic Analyzer, DSO/CRO, Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Experience with Confluence, JIRA, GIT, SVN, Bit-Bucket, and other tools.
  • Experience of team leadership and/or project management in multi-cultural, multi-disciplined teams.

Good to Have:

  • Understanding of Android architecture and elements like AIDL, Binder, Lifecycle, System Services, Android Framework, and AOSP.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platforms like AWS, AZURE, or Google Cloud.
  • Power Management for Low Power devices.
  • Experience with Android, Java, and Kotlin.
