Lead Quantum Cryogenic Systems Engineer

Optimizing Cryogenic Systems is a critical component of our mission to push the boundaries of scientific and technological capabilities.
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cryogenics Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team.
This role involves leading the development, installation, operation, and maintenance of advanced cryogenic systems, including cryostats for quantum devices and dilution refrigerators for quantum computing experiments.
The ideal candidate will oversee system commissioning, cooldown, and performance optimization to ensure peak operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing facility layouts for quantum cryogenic labs and related infrastructure using CAD software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Acting as a key liaison with external vendors and fabricators, participating in design meetings and witnessing acceptance tests to ensure high-quality standards.
- Supervising and guiding technicians during the assembly, installation, and commissioning of cryogenic equipment.
- Supporting the seamless integration of cryogenic systems with optical and electronic subsystems for detector applications.
- Maintaining meticulous and detailed documentation of all procedures, operations, and maintenance activities.
While prior experience at a cryogenics facility is a strong advantage, we welcome candidates with proven experience in the development, operation, and maintenance of cryogenic systems.
A general knowledge of cryostats, with hands-on experience being a significant plus, is also desirable.
