Toymaker Designer

Product Design Opportunity

We're looking for a talented Product Designer to spearhead the design of our toys and supporting materials from concept to production. As a key member of our team, you'll have the chance to bring your creativity and expertise to the table, shaping the future of our products.

About the Role

• Toy Design: Develop innovative toy forms based on child-development research, creating CAD models and detailed production-ready drawings. Work closely with stakeholders to refine prototypes.
• Design Language & Branding: Establish cohesive toy aesthetics (materials, finishes, colors) and support the creation of our brand identity (logo, packaging, visual system). Produce comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure design consistency.
• Parent Materials & Packaging: Design engaging play guides and instructional inserts, create compelling graphics for toy packaging, and collaborate on kit storage solutions (bags, boxes).
• Collaboration: Partner with child-development experts and manufacturers to iterate designs based on user testing and safety standards (UKCA/EN71). Maintain accurate design documentation for production and compliance.

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Product/Industrial Design or equivalent preferred
• Strong skills in CAD and prototyping software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar)
• A well-rounded portfolio showcasing end-to-end ownership (concept → CAD → prototype)
• Experience with children's products/toys/consumer goods an asset
• Creative thinker who balances aesthetics, functionality, and safety
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
