Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead our technical vision and implementation of a data platform for one of our customers.

  • This role will involve architecting and scaling cloud data infrastructure on Azure, building robust data pipelines using ELT workflows, dbt, Airflow, and Azure Data Factory.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in data engineering and working with the US healthcare system. They will also need to have proven expertise with dbt, Apache Airflow, and Azure Data Factory in production healthcare data environments.

  • Key responsibilities include ensuring full compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and internal security policies, guiding integration of structured and unstructured data from EHRs, claims, lab results, FHIR/HL7 feeds, and SDoH data sources.
  • Other key responsibilities include implementing and managing tools for data cataloging, lineage, and observability, mentoring and supporting a growing team of data engineers, and contributing to enterprise data strategy and roadmap.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of SQL, Python, and cloud-native data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or Azure Synapse is essential.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will need to have demonstrated experience architecting and scaling data platforms on Azure or similar public cloud infrastructure.
