Job Title: Citrix Architect

The Citrix Architect will design and implement end-to-end virtual desktop solutions. They will analyze business requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and design scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Designing and integrating Citrix products including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services to provide a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.
  2. Configuring and managing Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.
  3. Implementing identity and access management strategies including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls for virtual desktop environments.
  4. Designing and configuring network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers to ensure secure and efficient data transfer.
  5. Optimizing virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience by monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and virtual networks.
  • Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
  • Experience in network design including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
