
eCommerce Strategy Director

This role oversees the growth and scaling of eCommerce marketplace businesses across various platforms, including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and Zalando.
The Key Account Director combines strategy, operations, and account expansion to support enterprise clients in achieving revenue and GMV objectives.
- Main Responsibilities:
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
- • Develop strong relationships with clients, platform stakeholders, and internal teams.
- • Lead regular calls, executive meetings, and business reviews.
- eCommerce Marketplace Management:
- • Define goals around revenue, profitability, and channel diversification with clients.
- • Develop data-driven strategies aligned with industry trends and client objectives.
- • Monitor competitor performance and execute initiatives such as seasonal selling, global expansion, and fulfillment optimization.
- Performance Enhancement:
- • Track and optimize KPIs like Sell-Through Rate, fulfillment lead times, and pricing effectiveness.
- • Identify and resolve technical listing, feed, or policy issues.
- • Ensure product listings adhere to best practices for each marketplace.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- • Deliver regular performance updates and dashboards on revenue, operational health, and ad efficiency.
- • Use platform analytics to guide strategy on promotions, expansion, and budget recommendations.
- • Lead business reviews and presentations using performance insights.
- Account Growth & Renewal:
- • Identify upsell opportunities and lead conversations on new marketplaces, tools, or catalog expansion.
- • Support revenue retention and renewal processes by demonstrating clear ROI.
- • Mitigate risks related to sales decline, compliance issues, or fulfillment disruptions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- • Work with engineering, support, and product teams to troubleshoot and improve service delivery.
- • Partner with finance, sales, and renewals teams to drive revenue forecasts, RFP responses, and pipeline growth.
- • Ensure alignment across teams through process documentation and strategic sessions.
Qualifications:
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- • 3–9 years of experience managing eCommerce marketplace accounts.
- • Proficient knowledge of retail marketplace tools and seller portals.
- • Strong analytical skills; ability to translate data into clear strategies and recommendations.
- • Excellent client communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership abilities.
- • Familiarity with preferred tools and technologies.
