Job Title: Pharmacy Purchase Manager

This is a key leadership role that oversees the procurement and inventory management of medicines, surgical consumables, and pharmaceutical supplies for a hospital. The role requires strategic planning, effective vendor management, and compliance with regulatory norms.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for pharmaceutical products and consumables.
  2. Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and supply agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  3. Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and distributors.
  4. Ensure uninterrupted supply of drugs, including critical and life-saving medicines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  1. Cost savings achieved through procurement strategies.
  2. Vendor performance and timely supply rate.
  3. Stock-out rate and inventory turnover ratio.
  4. Compliance audit scores.
  5. Stakeholder satisfaction (clinicians, pharmacy, finance).

Requirements:
  • B.Pharm / M.Pharm / MBA in Hospital or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in pharmaceutical purchase, with at least 7+ years in a hospital setting (multispecialty preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, regulatory norms, and supply chain best practices.
  • Proven skills in vendor negotiation, procurement systems, and cost management.
