As a Product Designer on the Rides Design team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex challenges that require creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the design of user interfaces and experiences for Uber's flagship consumer application. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, and collaborate with engineers to implement and test your designs.
You will be responsible for crafting delightful experiences that meet the needs of our users, whether they are using the app to request rides or manage their accounts. Your designs should be intuitive, visually appealing, and accessible to users of all backgrounds and abilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong portfolio of work that showcases your ability to design user-centered experiences. You should have 6+ years of experience building products for mobile apps, proficiency with Figma or similar tools, and experience working and collaborating in a tech environment.
A degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred, but not required. You should also have experience working with user experience researchers and various methods of research and user testing, as well as experience designing experiments or A/B testing.
