Our ideal candidate will be joining a global asset management team as a Valuation Specialist. They will work closely with senior investment professionals to provide valuation and monitoring services for the portfolio investments of the Client.

This role involves various aspects of valuation, including initiating and maintaining financial models and preparing valuation memos across sectors. The specialist is expected to proactively engage with different stakeholders to ensure well-informed and timely investment decision making by the Client.

  • Performing valuations on a range of (illiquid) investments across various industries
  • Preparing and updating valuation models, detailed memos, and presentations
  • Gathering data pertinent to the investments/models independently
  • Addressing client queries in a clear and concise manner
  • Prioritizing and executing multiple assignments, including ad-hoc projects, within tight deadlines
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sound experience in valuation and financial modeling (discounted cash flows, market multiples, market transactions)
  • Exposure to US/European primary and secondary markets
  • Strong Excel modeling and analytical skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to independently execute assignments under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of third-party databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, Thomson Reuters
  • Hands-on experience with VBA macros
  • Sector knowledge - Real Estate, Shipping, Aircraft, and Oil & Gas
Academic Requirements:
  • MBA or equivalent qualification in finance from a reputable institution
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Economics & CFA (Level II completed)
