About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in India. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for thermoformed interior components in the railway industry.

This is a senior-level role requiring deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality designs that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D and 2D designs for interior thermoformed panels using SolidWorks.
  • Translate customer concepts and specifications into production-ready designs.
  • Collaborate with European clients to align technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in CAD design for thermoformed plastic components.
  • SolidWorks expert level surface modeling, assemblies, and tool-related adjustments.
  • Strong background in railway or transportation interiors.
  • Knowledge of plastics material properties, tooling, and production processes.
  • Ability to translate conceptual sketches into manufacturable designs.
