The Search Team enables users to quickly find and get started with APIs. This translates into an ever-increasing volume of data created and consumed by users across teams and in the Public API Network.

The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer who thrives on building seamless user experiences and goes beyond silos to deliver value to users.

What You'll Do

  • Own and build end-to-end search experiences.
  • Work primarily on frontend engineering, creating scalable and high-quality user interfaces.
  • Optimize search UX with a strong focus on customer needs.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver a best-in-class search experience.
  • Be curious and proactive—dive into work beyond silos to iterate quickly and deliver incremental improvements.
  • Build functional prototypes to solve internal and external use cases.
  • Contribute to engineering culture by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and mentoring peers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with strong expertise in frontend development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and solid web fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js/Python, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and web services.
  • Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a bias for action—you get things done under constraints.
  • Passion for building products that create real value for users.
  • A collaborative, experimental mindset with the willingness to explore beyond silos.
