Job Title: Professional Accountant - Financial Reporting

Description:

  • This role is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting to clients, ensuring data quality and compliance with accounting standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in core accounting, including journals, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as proficiency in accounting standards, IFRS, and GAAP.
  • They should also be proficient in SAP and Oracle Accounting ERPs, as well as balance sheet tools like Blackline and Trintech.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with colleagues to deliver good service are essential.
  • Additionally, the candidate should have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring facts are correct, complete, and consistent.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and process improvements is also desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Primary Skills:
    • Chartered accountants with 0-4 years of experience in multinational companies (BPO or captive)
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Experience in core accounting, including journals, bank reconciliations, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Proficiency in accounting standards, IFRS, and GAAP
    • Expert understanding of revenue accounting, property, plant, and equipment, variance analysis, trial balance, and balance sheet commentary
    • Hands-on experience in journal entries, month-end activities, book closings, and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Experience in SAP, Oracle Accounting ERPs, and balance sheet tools like Blackline and Trintech
    • Ability to use systems, enter and validate data into relevant systems, and ensure data quality in line with defined service level agreements
    • Exposure to root cause analysis and process improvements
    • To provide accurate and timely responses and communication with UK clients, responding to queries and requests as appropriate
    • To work in partnership with colleagues to deliver good service
  • Secondary Skills:
    • SAP and Oracle end-user experience, MS Office skills, good communication
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ensure facts are correct, complete, and consistent
    • Controls, compliance, and policy adherence
