The Role

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions.

Job Description

In this role, you will be at the forefront of solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to architect the solution, test the code, and deploy and build a CI/CD pipeline for it.

You will work closely with project teams to understand requirements and design migration strategies from IMS-DB to DB2. You will develop and execute migration scripts and utilities ensuring data consistency and integrity.

You will also optimize application code to leverage DB2 features for improved performance. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of migrated applications. Document code changes, migration processes, and testing procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in application development using IMS-DB, DB2, and COBOL
  • Strong understanding of IMS-DB architecture, IMS calls, and queries
  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and SQL for DB2
  • Experience with data structures, access methods, and database utilities
