Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in designing and developing features in existing Data Warehouses, ensuring seamless integration with Engineering, product, and analytics/data scientists teams.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and update of batch ETL pipelines, leveraging expertise in data architecture.
  • Define and implement data architectures that enable reliable datasets for business use.
  • Collaborate with engineers and data analysts to build trustworthy datasets.
  • Familiarity with various data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, and others is essential.
  • Technical Skills:
  • A strong understanding of Data Architecture and models is necessary for leading data-driven projects.
  • Solid expertise in Data Modelling paradigms such as Kimball, Inmon, Data Marts, Data Vault, Medallion, etc. is required.
  • Cloud-Based data strategies and big data technologies, specifically AWS Preferred, are a must.
  • Designing data pipelines for ETL requires expert knowledge on ingestion, transformation, and data quality.
  • Hands-on experience in SQL is mandatory, including query optimization and designing indexes.
  • An ability to manipulate intermediate to complex levels of SQL is crucial.
  • Thorough knowledge of Postgres PL/SQL to work with complex warehouse workflows is necessary.
  • Advanced SQL concepts like RANK, DENSE_RANK and statistical concepts through SQL are required.
  • Working experience with PostGres SQL extensions like PostGIS is desired.
  • Expertise writing ETL pipelines combining Python + SQL is required.
  • Understanding of data manipulation libraries in Python like Pandas, Polars, DuckDB is desirable.
  • Experience in designing Data visualization with different tools such as Tableau and PowerBI is beneficial.
