JD Edwards Technical Consultant Job Description

The JD Edwards Technical Consultant plays a pivotal role in validating and testing the implementation lifecycle of JD Edwards. They are responsible for ensuring seamless integration, troubleshooting development issues, and providing recommendations for system improvements.

  • Strong JDE background and understanding of FDA, RDA, NER, BSFN concepts is essential. Proficiency in working with master business functions, power forms, and software development methodologies is required.
  • Candidates must be able to analyze risk mitigation during system improvements, perform unit tests, and troubleshoot development issues.
  • They should have experience in training internal teams on technical aspects, integrating JD Edwards with external systems using Business Services/Orchestrator, and working with BI Publisher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validation of testing completed in implementation life cycle of JD Edwards
  • Troubleshooting development issues and recommending solutions
  • Performing unit tests to verify application functionality against requirements/design specifications
  • Providing recommendations for system improvements
  • Analyzing risk mitigation during system improvements
  • Issue analysis and bug fixing, debugging, and trouble-shooting Standard Programs in JDE

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of Integrating JD Edwards with external systems using Business Services/Orchestrator
  • Experience with software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development
  • Security and/or infrastructure experience
