Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Database Solutions Architect to lead our team in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing database solutions on cloud platforms.

As a key member of our delivery team, you will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements. Your expertise in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and strong hands-on experience in MS SQL and Oracle environments will be essential in delivering consulting services through workshops, solutioning, architecture, migrations, optimization, and administration.

Your role will involve:

  • Leading client workshops to gather requirements, design solutions, and define database architecture for Oracle and MS SQL on Cloud.
  • Planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining database environments on AWS (RDS, EC2, S3).
  • Hands-on expertise in Installation & Configuration, Schema handling, User and Security Management, Backup & Restore, and Database Administration for MS SQL & Oracle.
  • Architect-level knowledge of Server Security, DR Replication monitoring/configuration, High Availability (HA), Failover, and Replication.
  • Developing and optimizing database structures to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Implementing MS SQL & Oracle-related tools; writing scripts for automation; performing advanced database performance tuning.
  • Strong knowledge in setting up MS SQL & Oracle in HA architecture.
  • Planning and implementing backup strategies (including scripting) following best practices.
  • Providing integration support with third-party monitoring systems.
  • Administering Linux and Windows environments for database deployments.
  • Familiarity with Virtual Machines (AWS EC2) and container technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with JDBC connection pools and database integration preferred.
  • Using consultative techniques to engage with clients and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leading solutioning for 3-tier architectures and ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs.
