Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our core services in private and public clouds.

The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge and understanding of core services and infrastructure, with the ability to improve them through innovative solutions.

This role involves collaborating with application, architecture, and platform teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet our business needs.

You will be responsible for enhancing the security, stability, and scalability of core services, including server provisioning, container orchestration, secrets management, and server configuration management.

In addition, you will develop new pipelines and scripts to improve automation and software delivery.

A key aspect of this role is supporting junior team members through training and mentoring.

To ensure we stay ahead of the curve, you will work closely with the Head of Systems Engineering and Senior Systems Engineers to develop the technology roadmap and identify improvements.

Another crucial responsibility is managing project timelines and documentation.

Occasional out-of-hours support will also be required as part of regular on-call schedules.

Your success will depend on your ability to work independently and within the team, as well as with other members.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages such as Terraform for building, deploying, and maintaining systems.
  • Built and maintained self-hosted / on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
  • Excellent scripting skills in Bash or Python.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
  • Strong analytical thinking and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of different operating systems.
  • Enthusiasm for learning innovative technologies and sharing knowledge with others.
  • Pleasure in solving complex problems and working towards solutions.

Helpful Qualifications

  • Experience with public and/or hybrid cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure.
  • Working knowledge of automation & configuration management systems like Ansible or Puppet.
  • Background in systems administration.
