Join Sun Life as a Senior Actuarial Model Developer in our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining actuarial models using Moody's Axis and Risk Integrity.
As an actuarial modelling and implementation expert, you will work on model development, testing, and maintenance across geographies including Canada, US, and Asia. Your tasks will include:
- Developing and testing models and utilities for implementations such as IFRS17 and LICAT
- Maintaining tools and utilities used for model inputs and extraction of model output
- Reviewing and testing IFRS 17 models which includes reserve movement checks/reconciliations, cashflow checks at both aggregate and policy level etc.
- Validating IFRS4 models and providing detailed summary report to stakeholders
You will also be responsible for analyzing and presenting results effectively communicating with stakeholders.
This role requires a graduate/postgraduate degree, experience of 2.5-4 years, and at least 5 actuarial exams per new curriculum. You should have proficiency in MS-Excel, good communication and writing skills, and ability to lead projects independently.
Apart from the basic requirements, having experience in life insurance domain, knowledge of various life insurance products, and working knowledge of actuarial softwares like Moody's Axis, Risk Integrity, Prophet would be beneficial.
