Role Overview

The role of a Deputy Manager in Mines is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a limestone mechanized mine. The individual must possess strong leadership skills and be able to manage a team of at least 12-15 persons independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational plans to ensure efficient use of resources and maximize productivity.
  • Talent Management: Lead and manage a diverse team of mining professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to achieve exceptional results.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with mining operations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, suppliers, and local communities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mining: A degree from a Government recognized Institute/College with a 2nd Class Mines Manager's certificate.
  • Experience: At least 6-10 years of experience as a Mines Manager in a limestone mechanized mine.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of at least 12-15 persons in the Mines Department independently.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commanding personality.
