Steel and Metal Furniture Designer

We are seeking a skilled Steel and Metal Furniture Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping furniture pieces made from steel, aluminum, and other metals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Design and develop innovative steel furniture products such as tables, chairs, shelves, and storage units.
  • CAD Expertise: Prepare 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and feasible for production.
  • Structural Analysis: Perform structural analysis of steel furniture to ensure durability and stability.
  • Material Selection: Select materials and finishes based on aesthetic, functional, and cost considerations.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research on trends in furniture design and material innovation.
  • Prototyping: Develop prototypes for testing and modify designs based on feedback.
  • Sourcing: Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing materials and components.
  • Compliance: Ensure designs meet safety standards, environmental regulations, and company specifications.
  • Cost Estimation: Assist in developing cost estimates for production, assembly, and materials.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to understand customer needs and incorporate feedback into designs.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical documentation and design presentations for stakeholders.
