Linux Server System Administrator

A high-performing Linux L3 server administrator is required to manage and maintain SUSE servers, including building and reimagining physical and virtual environments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation of IBM, DELL, Lenovo Fujitsu, and HP HANA appliance servers
- Build and reimagine SUSE Linux servers in both physical and virtual environments
- Manage Linux virtual machines configured in ESX environments
- Provide Level 3 technical support to customers and manage the Antivirus environment
Additional requirements include:
- Patching and OS upgrades on SUSE servers
- Familiarity with DNS, NFS, Samba, FTP, LDAP, NTP, Email services
- Knowledge of SAN or NAS environments
- Understanding of RAID, LVM
- Familiarity with any clusters and package management
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Networking concepts like TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing and Name Resolution, as well as experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues.
This role requires knowledge of OS Concepts on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, LDAP, high availability and disaster recovery concepts, Monitoring etc., and configuration management systems such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
