Operations Excellence Specialist

Job Description:

As an Operations Excellence Specialist, you will work closely with clients to execute steps required to achieve performance improvements. You will have ownership of workstreams and be responsible for executing effective improvement plans within operations, ranging from shop floor improvements to fundamental changes in work processes and information material flows.

The Role includes but is not limited to: project leadership for project workstreams, transformations, and turnarounds; problem-solving technical manufacturing issues using structured methodologies; adopting a process-oriented approach to solving problems and breaking down large complex problems into smaller modules; driving change and improvements to the overall execution of client operations; transforming manufacturing processes for better productivity and efficiency; conducting due diligence, benchmarking, best practice, and other assessment studies; recommending actions and helping clients implement them; managing and delivering the highest quality client work.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in high-performance manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years of leadership and management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in STEM fields, Operations, or Business.
  • Strong functional knowledge in discrete manufacturing, project management, process automation, continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt is a plus).
  • Experience in management consulting, large-scale change management, or turnaround and restructurings.
  • Direct operating experience with P&L accountability.
  • International work experience.
