Medical Chemist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our research organization, you will be responsible for designing and executing synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programmes.

• To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in organic chemistry, with expertise in multistep synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound isolation.

You will work closely with analytical teams to troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate lab records and contributing to technical reports.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and productivity. You will also have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programmes.
• Track SAR and optimizing potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules for research programs.
• Perform purification and structural characterization of compounds.
• Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions.
• Maintain accurate lab records and contribute to technical reports.

Requirements:

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related field.
• PhD in organic chemistry / medicinal chemistry.
• Postdoc in organic chemistry / Medicinal chemistry (Optional).
• 0-4 years of hands-on experience in working on bench, preferably in an industry.
