About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Software Engineer to join our Patient Core Team at ResMed. In this role, you will help ensure that our solutions meet the highest quality standards we promise to deliver to our customers.

As a Quality Assurance Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing software test plans to identify software problems and their causes. You will also design, architect, develop, test, deploy, and troubleshoot complex product integrations. Additionally, you will design, develop, and maintain automation systems and tools to be used by development and test engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline, and 4+ years of experience in Automation Testing using Selenium. You should also have experience testing highly scalable and reliable software solutions platforms, and experience with automating API tests. Furthermore, you should have experience of integrating test automation solutions into CI processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes
  2. Design, architect, develop, test, deploy, and troubleshoot complex product integrations
  3. Design, develop, and maintain automation systems and tools to be used by development and test engineers
  4. Build and improve software and tools by translating requirements and problems into robust, scalable, and supportable test solutions
  5. Develop manual/automated test procedures for software features, database impacts, regression testing, and negative testing
  6. Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates, or potential problems
  7. Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
  8. Defect and issue identification, logging, tracking, reporting, and timely verification of resolved items
  9. Collaborate with a cross-functional team including Development, QA, Implementation, Documentation, Support, and Sales
  10. Support the product through its full life cycle of design, code, test, and maintenance
  11. Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness
  12. Be part of an on-call support rotation

About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality, excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, and experience of Quality Assurance best practices. You should also have a good understanding of web technologies, client and server interactions, and a healthy blend of deep technical knowledge with a customer-focused mindset and empathy.
