Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team in a dynamic and challenging role. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable and secure software solutions that power technology platforms.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers to ensure the digital solutions are highly available, performant, and secure. Your responsibilities will include automating routine tasks, improving solution performance, and providing technical support to other teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of large-scale cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Create automated solutions to improve operational aspects of the site.
  • Ensure that applications and websites run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Detect issues and manage failures to keep systems up and running.
  • Work with software developers, engineers, and operations teams to improve system performance.
  • Analyse incidents to prevent future disruptions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications can be beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Skilled in managing configuration, deployments, observability, handling and resolving incidents, including root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development and operations teams.
