We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Embroidery Designer. This role combines artistic skills with technical knowledge to create digital designs for fabric and garments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development:
    • Create original embroidery, textile designs, including patterns, prints, weaves, and innovative materials.
    • Experiment with dyeing techniques, laser techniques, and mixing of other materials.
    • Stay updated on trends in fashion, textiles, and consumer preferences.
  • Material Selection:
    • Choose suitable fabrics and materials based on design requirements and functionality.
    • Source sustainable or innovative materials when needed.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Use design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CAD to create digital designs.
    • Understand textile production processes, including weaving, knitting, printing, and dyeing.
    • Develop technical specifications for manufacturers.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with the overall vision.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to understand target audiences and market trends.
  • Prototyping and Sampling:
    • Develop prototypes and samples to test designs.
    • Make adjustments based on feedback and production feasibility.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure that the final textiles meet quality standards and design specifications.
    • Address any issues during production.
  • Sustainability and Innovation:
    • Explore eco-friendly materials and sustainable production methods.
    • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and innovations in textile design.
    Requirements:
    • Creative Skills:
      • Show a strong sense of color, pattern, and texture.
      • Be able to translate ideas into visually appealing designs.
    • Technical Knowledge:
      • Have proficiency in textile design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, CAD).
      • Understand fabric properties, weaving, knitting, and printing techniques.
    • Attention to Detail:
      • Exercise precision in creating designs and ensuring quality.
    • Trend Awareness:
      • Show a keen eye for fashion and textile trends.
      • Be able to predict and adapt to changing consumer preferences.
    • Communication and Collaboration:
      • Have strong interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
      • Be able to present ideas clearly and receive feedback.
    • Education:
      • A degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is required.
      • Certifications in CAD or textile technology can be beneficial.
