Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing and prototyping wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering and 2-4 years of experience in product development. They should be proficient in CAD software and have knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prototype wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components
  • Assist in gathering insights on market needs and consumer trends to inform product development
  • Engineer lightweight, robust load-bearing structures (FEA validation)
  • Integrate motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design
  • Collaborate with vendors for precision fabrication and quality delivery
  • Conduct testing for durability, safety, and compliance
  • Optimize materials and processes for cost, weight, and performance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, changes, and manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
  • B.E./M.E. in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 2–4 years' experience in product development (mobility, automotive, or structural products)
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping
  • Exposure to EV/mechatronic systems is a plus
